Careers / Hardware Engineer
Hardware Engineer
Prototype and commission connected physical systems where sensing, control, and people meet.
Make the work easier to operate.
Some Quindart projects end in the physical world: connected equipment, robotics, sensing, and device-controlled work. You will make execution routes observable and safe through prototypes, test rigs, embedded systems, supplier coordination, and the interfaces between hardware and software.
View all rolesWhat you will do
- Develop hardware concepts involving sensors, control, embedded systems, and connected devices.
- Build and test prototypes, fixtures, and proof-of-concept assemblies.
- Define test plans and investigate failures across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and integration boundaries.
- Work with software and operations teams on the data and controls that connect physical systems to digital products.
- Document designs, decisions, risks, safety considerations, and field learning clearly enough for another engineer to continue the work.
What you bring
- Experience taking a hardware idea from concept through prototype and structured testing.
- Practical knowledge of electronics, sensors, embedded systems, control, or a related discipline.
- Confidence using lab tools and diagnosing problems methodically.
- An understanding of reliability, safety, sourcing, and maintainability in real operating environments.
- Clear documentation and collaborative communication across hardware and software teams.
Useful experience
- PCB design, firmware, industrial communications, robotics, or computer vision.
- Low-volume manufacturing, supplier coordination, or field testing.
- Systems that combine physical equipment with web-based monitoring or control.
