Automation training and handover
Prepare operators and maintenance teams to run, recover and support a system after the pilot.
What does the work involve?
- Train using normal work and common exceptions.
- Document maintenance tasks, escalation paths and system ownership.
- Review unresolved issues before extending the installation.
What should you prepare before starting?
Identify operators, maintainers, shift patterns and the interruptions they need to handle. Bring existing instructions and a list of tasks that currently depend on one person’s knowledge.
Do you need to replace existing equipment?
Training should use the delivered equipment and software. Where interfaces change, the handover needs to explain the new responsibilities and what the team can safely troubleshoot.
How is delivery checked?
Ask the team to demonstrate normal operation, recovery and escalation using representative scenarios. Leave clear instructions, maintenance ownership and a record of open issues.
