Product platform case study
One operational record for every mining title.
MMAM brings ownership, documents, obligations, deadlines, and renewal work together around each mining title.
Start with the Readiness AuditThe challenge
Mining-title records were scattered across files, inboxes, calendars, and individual memory.
We made each mining title the primary record, with its documents, obligations, dates, owners, activity, and status attached in one place.
Before
How the work moved.
- Title records were split across files, inboxes, calendars, and personal memory.
- Documents and obligations were not consistently attached to the title they governed.
- Portfolio status required manual reconstruction.
After
The route now in use.
- A mining title is registered with its core information and supporting evidence
- Obligations, dates, documents, and internal owners are connected to that title
- The system monitors upcoming dates and sends reminders before action is required
- Progress and evidence are recorded so management can review the portfolio position
The administrative problem was also an operational risk.
A missed internal task is inconvenient. A missed mining related obligation or renewal date can affect legal standing, operations, and financial planning. That difference changes what the software must do. It cannot simply store a list of titles or send isolated calendar reminders.
The platform had to make the whole lifecycle legible. Teams needed to understand what a title is, where it is located, which documents support it, what obligations are approaching, who owns the next action, and what evidence already exists.
Ordinary tools each solved a fragment of the work.
A spreadsheet can list titles. A shared folder can hold documents. A calendar can send a reminder. None of those tools understands how the information relates to the title lifecycle or who is responsible when the situation changes.
MMAM was designed to connect those fragments without making the system difficult for administrative, compliance, legal, management, and field teams to use. The product needed a flexible data structure, but the daily experience needed to remain direct and understandable.
Traceability had to be part of the product, not an afterthought.
Mining work creates many kinds of supporting material. The platform therefore keeps documents, status changes, actions, and responsibilities connected to the correct title. This gives teams a clearer trail when they prepare a renewal file, investigate a change, or report on the portfolio.
The result is operational control rather than a feature list. People can see the work that belongs to a title and the work that is approaching without searching through unrelated folders, inboxes, and personal reminders.
The result
A current view of the whole portfolio.
