Energy cost per unit

Connect measured energy to accepted output. See what changes when consumption, cost or quality changes.

Measurement and output

Match consumption and accepted output to the same period and boundary. Include rejected production in energy use, but count only good units in output.

Add shared, fixed and other allocated costs

Enter charges for this period that are not already in the energy-only rate. Allocate them once to this measurement boundary.

Results depend on your inputs and assumptions. Review them with the responsible team before making a decision.

How this works

Electricity intensity = measured kWh ÷ accepted good units. Energy-only cost per unit = measured kWh × energy rate ÷ accepted good units. Allocated charges are shown separately.

Displayed figures are rounded. Exports retain calculation precision.
